In Turkey, tea is grown exclusively in the Eastern Black Sea region. Tea gardens are harvested four times a year. Tea enthusiasts, in particular, know well that the first harvest takes place in May. After spending the winter months under a blanket of snow, the tea plant returns to nature in its freshest form and is plucked at its most delicate stage in May.
Tea harvested in May carries the freshness and energy of spring, reflecting this in its aroma. As it is the first harvest of the year, it possesses the highest antioxidant properties. During this period, the soil is moist and the tea plant is full of energy.
Since Tea1986 May Harvest Tea is obtained from the first harvest of the year, it embodies all the values that humanity has associated with spring for thousands of years. For this reason, it is far more abundant and flavorful compared to the subsequent three harvests.
